Aemotion, is the 3D printed Air Conditioning Unit developed by NYXO studio and Co-de-iT for Haier group.

The main goal was to study a special effect able to attract and involve the user in the dynamics of the airflow. The front surface is affected by the breath of the air conditioning tower and swells following the airflow. Parametric design is used as a medium in order to create and control the dynamic feedback and the mutual interaction of the diverse components.

The micro-scale composition of the frontal membrane, only possible to be built with 3d printing technology, allows its expansion. This elastic skin indeed, is characterized by a series of small cells held together through an array of springs harmonized in their size and shape to the specific area where they affect.
