The Project has been selected for the “Light for Emotional Comfort” competition, in collaboration with POLI.Design Milan.
Tripode is a pendant lamp defined by three lightning sources arrayed around a central node forming 120° between each piece. The three LED stripes are anchored to a skeleton that is connected to an articulated terminal equipped with a spherical hinge that allows a rotation of 70° as well as a torsion around its ax. These rotations permit modulate the light from a closed conformation with a diameter of 20 cm to the extended position where the light cylinders cover a diameter of about 60 cm. The whole object is covered with a flexible rubber that functions as a skin layer, to protect the internal components and to create a continuous surface. The main body can be removed for a versatile use, transforming it into a table lamp if anchored to a specific stand or into a wireless lamp, thanks to a built-in rechargeable battery.
